**IMPORTANT** ~Rental Agreement, ID & Security Deposit Hold~ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement and the booker’s ID verification. Guests must either opt in for a $45 non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company, OR authorize a refundable temporary $500 security deposit hold–not a traditional security deposit, not an actual charge, released if no damage/excessive cleaning! The optional damage waiver is $45 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account -- it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of our favorite local spots. ~Vacationing with Pets~ * We welcome up to 2 house-trained dogs of non-aggressive breeds, ages 2 or older. (Sorry, no cats or any other animals!) Proofs of recent rabies shot and vet-grade flea/tick medications, as well as agreeing to Pet Rules required. * Contact us for pet approval before submitting the booking request. * Be sure to add the number of pets in your booking request so the $200 Pet Fee for up to 2 dogs for the entire stay is properly included in your booking amount. * We provide a 24”x36” kennel, dog sheets/towels and dog bowls. ~Refunds~ Direct bookings provide guests with the best rates by avoiding platform service fees. While we strive to ensure a perfect stay, we cannot offer refunds for circumstances beyond our control, such as weather conditions or personal reasons. We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance for added peace of mind. Additionally, violations of our house rules may result in early departure without a refund. For property protection and insurance purposes, there is a security camera covering the front entrance and it must remain active at all times.

Where do I start! Jeana’s place was everything we expected and more. My friends and I had an amazing time. It was our first time in Maine and we were blown away by the beauty of the Mountain View’s and how peaceful it was. Our time here made the trip 100% better and we will absolutely be back!! Taking a dip in the hot tub was an excellent way to end our stay. The high ceilings, big windows, and the cabin like decor and ambience were amazing to experience. I’m already planning on when I’ll be back, hopefully in the fall/winter when we can truly experience the nature and peace Maine offers. Thank you again, Jeana! You were fabulous and I couldn’t ask for a better host ❤️

We were 8 adults, 5 children, and a dog, the chalet was spotless, spacious, and exceptionally well equipped. Everything from the kitchen to the sleeping arrangements was thoughtfully prepared for a large group. We highly recommend it and will gladly return.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a peaceful birthday getaway, and that was what we had found. The 6+ hours were worth the drive. The location was very clean and organized with labels and instructions. If I had any questions, Jeana would respond in a quick and timely manner and be very helpful with advice and suggestions. The hot tub was clean and well maintained, and there was a lovely fire pit in the back to enjoy at night. TV in every major room, board games to enjoy on a rainy day, books to read. The kitchen had great appliances, including a waffle maker! We also enjoyed a game of air hockey and a classic arcade on the first floor. A great spot for nature lovers, the house is beautiful and surrounded by beautiful trees. Bethel, Maine, is a beautiful town, with scenic landscapes and excellent trails for hikers. The local grocery store and a park are just 5 minutes or so away. Portland is just an hour and a half drive away from Bethel. I would definitely recommend this location.

We stayed a weekend in Jeana’s chalet and it was exactly as shown. Nice private retreat very quiet in the woods. When I reached out she was very responsive and always answered we communicated well. Everyone was comfortable and it was nice being able to accommodate the dogs with us as well. I’d return for another weekend for sure. Thanks for the nice experience and stay Jeana👍
